DevLinka, Inc. ("DevLinka", "we", "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of clients, engineers, collaborators, and visitors to our platform. This page summarizes the principles behind our full privacy program.
Information we collect
Account data, usage data, and project content needed to operate the platform. We do not sell personal information.
How we use information
To deliver platform services, match engineers to projects, run analytics that improve the platform, and meet our legal obligations.
Identity verification for talent applicants
Applicants who are shortlisted to join the DevLinka network are asked to complete a manual identity check before they can book an introductory call. This section explains it in full.
Why we do this
We introduce engineers to partner companies, so we confirm that an applicant is the person described in their application. This is an identity check only. It is not a criminal background check, a sanctions screening, a credit check, or an assessment of your legal right to work.
What we collect
A short introduction video you record in your browser, a selfie, and one government-issued identity document (passport, national ID, or driver's licence). We never ask for this on our public application form - only after you have been shortlisted and sent a private invitation link.
How it is reviewed
A named DevLinka administrator compares the video, selfie, and document by eye. There is no automated facial recognition and no biometric template is created or stored. Each access to your media is logged against the individual reviewer who opened it.
Where it is stored
Media is held by Bunny.net, our infrastructure provider, acting as a processor on our instructions. Storage is private and access-controlled: files are never publicly listed or served without a short-lived signed link, and reviewer links expire after five minutes. Bunny operates a global network; media may be processed in the EU and other regions where it maintains infrastructure, under its standard data-processing terms.
How long we keep it
- Incomplete or abandoned uploads are deleted after 24 hours of inactivity.
- Media attached to an expired invitation is deleted promptly.
- A file you replace is deleted as soon as the replacement is confirmed.
- If your verification is unsuccessful, media is deleted within 30 days.
- If your verification succeeds, identity media is deleted within 30 days of the review or your introductory call, whichever is later.
After deletion we retain only the minimal outcome - that a check was completed, by whom, and on what date - so we can evidence our own process. We do not retain document numbers, document images, or the contents of your identity document.
Your choices
Completing verification is voluntary, but we cannot arrange partner introductions without it. You may withdraw and ask us to delete your media at any time - including while a review is in progress - by emailing privacy@devlinka.com. Deletion does not require you to withdraw your application.
Your rights
Under GDPR, CCPA, and other regional laws, you have rights of access, correction, deletion, portability, and objection. To exercise them, email privacy@devlinka.com.
